CMES 2026 four-city tour: how to find China's regional machine-tool factories near your supply chain
If you source machine tools from China, you probably think of one or two big Shanghai shows. But China's machine-tool industry is not a single point — it is a network spread across several industrial hubs. The factories in the Pearl River Delta sit in South China; the precision belt around Suzhou sits in the Yangtze Delta; the Mid-West cluster centers on Xi'an. If you only watch Shanghai, you miss roughly half the map.
That is exactly the logic behind CMES (China Machine-tool Expo): instead of "one show, one city," it runs a regional chain show — the same 2026 edition laid out across multiple regions (East, South, North and Mid-West China, across a dozen industrial cities). We have now brought CMES 2026's four cities (Shanghai, Suzhou, Foshan, Xi'an) into the TokoAI(51Toko) base — 957 real exhibitors. This post explains, from the buyer's view, what a four-city show means for finding the right supplier by your supply-chain radius.
One show, four cities — not four shows
CMES's "chain" does not copy one show four times. It splits the same edition's exhibitors across regional venues. The four cities we ingested happen to span four industrial regions:
| City | Region | Exhibitors ingested | High-quality |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shanghai | East China gateway | 301 | 100% |
| Suzhou | East China (Yangtze precision belt) | 266 | 100% |
| Foshan | South China | 154 | 100% |
| Xi'an | Mid-West | 149 | 100% |
| Total | Four regions | 870 | 100% |
Figures from our database (snapshot 2026-08-18). "Exhibitors ingested" = companies in the base tagged to that city station (deduplicated by email; 87 already-existing companies were merged into their original records and not double-counted); total booth entries 1,029, deduplicated to 957. "High-quality" = at least one valid contact path (website, email, social or phone) on file — the baseline at ingestion was 77.8%, and after phase-one website contact completion all four cities now reach 100%. CMES runs over a dozen city stations; the rest will be added as their catalogs arrive, with exhibit history traceable.
Why four cities matters to you as a buyer
For machine tools, geographic radius directly affects three things:
- Logistics & lead time: a supplier in your region ships faster and cheaper; for an urgent spec change, someone can fly in the same day.
- Factory audit & after-sales: equipment needs commissioning, training, warranty — a nearby factory means a short service radius and fast response.
- Local ecosystem: a machine tool rarely stands alone; tooling, fixtures, sheet-metal partners sit nearby. A regional cluster is easier to bundle.
So the same machining center is often better sourced from a Foshan exhibitor if you are in South China, a Suzhou exhibitor if you are in the Yangtze Delta, a Xi'an exhibitor if you are in the Mid-West — rather than pulling it halfway across the country from Shanghai. By laying one edition across four cities, CMES turns "China's machine-tool factories" from "a point in Shanghai" into "a surface across four regions" — and we ingest it so that surface becomes searchable and contactable, matched to you by radius, not by luck at one booth.
How AI Find Suppliers uses it
Once these exhibitors are in the base, you can locate the right regional factory for free:
- Search by category and region: tell us what machine tool you need and where you are; we match from factories that actually exhibited and passed the organizer's vetting — not a guessed name scraped from a B2B site.
- Reach the real contact: we use the catalog email plus enriched public contacts, bypassing the possibly stale organizer general line, so your inquiry reaches the right person faster.
- Verified supplier, not a lead list: every match carries the contact path from our base; you are not buying a list, you are locating a real, vetted exhibitor near your supply chain.
How it complements CCMT / CIMT
We also ingest CCMT (China CNC Machine Tool Show, multiple editions) and CIMT — they lean toward domestic CNC equipment and international machine tools, mostly centered on Shanghai. What CMES's four cities add is exactly the regional breadth CCMT does not reach: Foshan (South China), Xi'an (Mid-West), Suzhou (Yangtze precision belt) — industrial hubs CCMT rarely visits are now in the base. Together, the two series give a fuller map of China's machine-tool industry — so whatever region you source from, the right factory is more likely to be in our base.
Progress: phase-one completion done — four cities 100% reachable
All four CMES 2026 city catalogs are ingested and, after phase-one website contact completion, all four cities now reach 100% reachable (website, email, social or phone on file). For companies whose sites listed no email, we keep enriching from more public sources, turning more "names" into "people you can reach."

Frequently asked
How big is the supplier pool you match from?
We match from a large, continuously enriched base of companies — 1.61M+ in total, with 1.01M+ reachable via verified contact info, including 815K+ overseas reachable companies plus a China-based pool of 201K+ reachable suppliers. For buyers, what matters is the verified supplier side: trade-show exhibitors and other audited B2B sources we can find suppliers against your request and reach on your behalf.
I just came back from a trade show — can you still help me reach exhibitors I missed?
Yes. Tell us the show and what you were looking for, or send the exhibitor list you collected. We find those suppliers from our verified pool, check fit with your needs, and have them respond through our channel — including exhibitors you didn't get to meet on the floor. Your identity and contact stay private; suppliers see your sourcing request but only contact you directly once you authorize us to share your contact.
